カトリック教会の暦である「典礼暦」では、来週の日曜日11月27日は待降節第一主日です。カトリック教会は1年を通してキリストの神秘を展開し、人々が自分たちの生活の中でその神秘に生きるよう招いています。そのため、典礼暦の一年はイエス・キリストを待つ季節である待降節から始まり、普通の暦よりも1カ月早く新年を迎えることになります。

According to the Catholic Church’s calendar, next Sunday, November 27th, is the First Sunday of Advent. The Catholic Church, throughout the course of the year, unfolds the entire mystery of Christ and invites us to live his mystery in our lives. Therefore, the liturgical year begins with Advent, the season of waiting for Jesus Christ, and welcomes the New Year one month earlier than the normal calendar.
